Data change Requests nulling out turned off fields

Description

In the Employee Profile Configuration you can turn off various sections. These sections being turned off causes Data change Requests to read in null values. These values should be ignored by data change requests.

Hide multiple tabs on the Employee Profile and created a data change for an employee. Only changed the phone number and name suffix. Approved and Posted. Using the USPS Print Screen report, I was able to verify with Beyond Compare that only these fields were changed.

Testing successful.

Testing:

  • In USPS, take note of employee’s properties

  • In ESS, turn off any combination of sections in the Employee Profile configuration

  • Create a data change request with a change in any field

  • Approve and export data change request

  • In USPS, verify only correct fields were changed.
