Release Recap Reminder
Last January, we started offering a monthly 'release recap' session for ITC staff reviewing new features, improvements and enhancements that took place in the prior month's USAS, USPS and Inventory applications. SSDT routinely releases software updates every two weeks and includes, with the changes, release notes detailing the JIRA issues involved. While the release notes are documented in their respective application areas of the wiki, we felt the end-users and ITC staff would appreciate a one-page recap of what was released in the prior month for all applications.
In the upper right-hand corner of each newsletter, under the 'Useful Links' area, a release recap link is provided for you to review the prior month's releases.
Listed below is a snippet of the January 2023 Recap page. Included is a table listing the release dates, application version, and type of release (regular or hotfix) for each application. The version number will include a direct link to the existing release notes in the wiki. Listed below each table is an easy-to-understand summarization of what took place, broken down by the type of change - bug fixes, improvements, new features, and patches. We may include screenshots to help aid in the explanation of the update that took place. With so many changes occurring in the software every release, we thought a monthly summarization would be the most effective way to keep you up-to-date with what is taking place in the software.
Need help finding something? We've gotcha covered!
Our wiki has a ton of good information to help a novice or experienced user with the software. The user manuals for each of our applications contain an 'appendix' section that includes checklists, useful procedures, FAQs and other helpful topics to assist with your daily processing.
There is also a search field at the home page of each user manual allowing you to enter what you're specifically needing additional information on. Just click on one of the available results from your search for further information.
Throughout the year, the SSDT holds "train-the-trainer' sessions with ITC fiscal support staff. We call them 'Fridays with Fiscal' because, you guessed it, most of them take place on Fridays. These sessions are recorded and available for anyone to review the recordings. If you would like to review the CY2022 recordings, click here. While not all of these sessions may be helpful for the end user, you may find one that covers tips & tricks on a specific process that you may use frequently.
We started our CY2023 Fridays with Fiscal sessions for ITC fiscal support staff a few weeks ago. While these sessions are only offered to ITC staff, please feel free to check the website's 'recording link' column periodically to review any recorded sessions that take place this year. The webinar recording length is listed on the far right column.

USPS recently added a replacement for Classic's RPTSUM report! The Reporting Entity County Summary Report displays retirement days (service days), ODJFS weeks, and/or EMIS attendance and absence days with the percentage of attendance for employees by selected time periods.
- Use quarter dates when running for ODJFS weeks
- Use payroll start and stop dates (not pay dates) when running for retirement days
For more information about this new report, click here.
We will see you at OASBO! SSDT will be presenting at OASBO's 2023 Annual Conference this April. The session is titled "State Software Reports & USAS Account Filters." Users will be shown tools within the software that can be used to most efficiently run and customize reports, along with how to create and assign account filters
A User Listing Report is now available in the Inventory application and is similar to what is available in USAS & USPS. The report contains the username, name, last login, enabled flag, password expiration, external authentication flag and roles/permissions for the users. Report parameters allow for excluding users or roles and filtering for enabled/disabled users only if desired. The report can be generated in PDF or TXT formats.
SSDT has our very own YouTube Channel! Many of the recordings from our Fridays with Fiscal sessions provided to ITC support staff are also available under 'playlists' on our YouTube channel. Listed below is an example of the current USPS playlist. Other playlists include USAS, Inventory, Release Recaps, and WEBGAAP. FYI: Playlist links are also located at the top of the each newsletter under the "Useful Links" area.
