Individual Students

The Individual Students screen is accessible through the Individual Students option, inside of the Progress Reports menu, in the Grad drop-down.

Find/Export

Users can use options within the Find box to narrow down results. Multiple filter options can be used together. If the clear is not used, when the user returns to this same screen, their last used selection options will be populated as the default.  The Clear option may be used to reset the selections to their original module default values.

The filters will persist, and populate by default, when returning to the screen. The clear option can be used to reset all filters back to their original state.

Resident District IRN - Enter the IRN for the resident district whose students you wish to select.

Using the Building IRN the data may be filtered to those students attending a specific building.    Enter in the building IRN you wish to select on.

Grad Cohort - Enter the 4 digit grad cohort year.

Grade Level - From the drop down select the grade level of the students you wish to select.

Using the Admitted Since the students may be filtered based on their enrollment/admission date.

Admitted From IRN - Enter the IRN of the district students could be admitted to your district from.  This would be a value reported to EMIS.

Export

Using any of the Export buttons, the user has the ability to export all data for the students included in the current Find selections.  From the File Output Format drop down, select TAB delimited or comma separated (CSV) format.  The CSV option is the default format.   The resulting output file may be saved and imported into a spreadsheet.  When importing a TAB delimited or CSV file into a spreadsheet, be certain to select the appropriate delimiter and options to preserve leading zeroes as needed.

There are 3 types of exports available on the Individual Students screen: Competency, Course Credits, and Readiness. The export chosen will only include the students from the filter options entered.  These 3 exports include all of the progress towards graduation data available for these students meeting that data type.

Summary Listing

The summary listing shows all the results from the district chosen and filter options selected. Columns in the grid whose headings are blue and contain the up/down arrow icon  are sortable.

Student Detail

A user can select a student from the summary listing to see more data on their individual progress towards graduation.

If a district is educating a student, but may not be the district that will be issuing a diploma, the selection on Display data as reported by may be needed.   The district, such as a JVS or Career Center, can monitor the Progress Towards Graduation of their educated students by selected the resident district in this drop down.   Not all students will have more than one district as an available choice in this drop-down.

The student detail page can provide additional details for courses, competency, and readiness.  The user should select the report desired from the report menu.  The reports available for the student will appear in blue.  After selecting,  an on screen report will appear.   If desired the user can select the option to generate the screen report in a PDF format for printing, for sharing with others or saving to a local device.  When complete, the user should select Return to Report Menu.

There is also a list of help documents on the page to assist users in better understanding of the data segments and PTG module overall.  The primary links appearing leftmost will provide DEW documents, the next level link provide links to the report content details.   The last link listed provides ODDEX/Grad Module help.

Users should select the 'Return to Select a Student' to return to the Summary Listing.

Student Detail Reports

Within this Student Detailed Reports, the user can view data in reports as reported by other districts by clicking on the Display data as reported by drop down.   Not all students will have multiple districts.

The user should select the report desired from the report menu.  The reports available for the student will appear in blue.

After selecting,  an on screen report will appear.   If desired the user can select the option to generate the screen report in a PDF format for printing or sharing with others.   The PDF will open in a new browser tab and can be saved as needed.

When complete, the user should select Return to Report Menu.   To return to the Summary Listing screen, the Return to Select a Student should then be used.
