Summary
This release of USAS-R contains the following improvements, detailed in the release notes below. Please keep in mind that these release notes only reflect the changes included in this release. Many other features of the software that were previously released will not be reflected in these release notes. General information about all of the features available in USAS-R can be found in our USAS-R Documentation. The documentation also includes a section that details the significant changes between USAS-R and Classic USAS.

Improvements
Implemented AOS Manual changes per AOS for FY 2027. New Receipt and Object codes are listed below, as well as the Fund codes that had description changes. The new receipt and object codes are available in the software now for budgeting. Transactions can be posted against them using FY 27 transaction dates.

Improve handling of large documents with Document Store. A chunking mechanism was implemented to assist with the storing of large documents. This includes documents of type PDF and Text (.csv, .txt, .tsv, etc.)
Internal
Consolidated ledgers to remove redundancy and improve performance and eliminate unused custom field support on ledgers.
Performance of creating and updating transactions improved
Expenditure process transactions average increase 25-38%
Receipt/Refund transaction average increase 15-20%
Interfund Cash Transactions (Transfers/Advances) and Distributions average increase 13%, 25% respectively
Note: The implementation of Cash Account Change (Classic’s FNDCHG) will be on version 2026.8.0. We anticipate releasing these changes next week.
