USAS-R v8.24.0 Release Notes

Summary

We have made some additional improvements to USAS-R with the release of version 8.24.0.  This release contains exciting new features and improvements as detailed in the release notes below.

1. Implemented the ability to select a "Default Bill Form" when emailing AR Billings.  With this implementation we've also updated the Accounts Receivable Billing Email Setup to allow a custom email message body to be included when the emails are sent.  When selecting AR Billings to email, users can also now see the message body displayed in the popup.  If a single bill is selected to email, the "To" email field also displays and allows users to enter additional email addresses (separated by a comma) to receive the Billing.

   1. Please note, when emailing a billing to a customer, the email sent flag does not immediately update to sent/true, but once the page refreshes it will display properly.  We are aware of this problem and have created an issue to fix it.  You can navigate to a different page and then back or simply refresh the page to see the updated value. 

   2. Information on how to create a custom billing form can be found here.  Select Billing as the Entity Type when adding a custom form in Report Manager.  After uploading a custom billing form, please use the

      Open

      

      option to verify the layout before emailing the form for the first time. Custom forms that can not be displayed with "Print" may not be emailed to customers but may not generate an error.

2. A patch to correct the status of 2 account change jobs.  This patch is a specific fix for one district whose account change jobs ended up in an invalid state.

Important Highlights

Please keep in mind these release notes only reflect the changes included in this release.  There are many other features of the software that were previously released that will not be reflected in these release notes.  General information about all of the features available in USAS-R can be found in our USAS-R Documentation.  There is a section in the documentation that also details the significant changes between USAS-R and classic USAS.
