Summary

Greetings!  We have made some additional improvements to USAS-R with the release of version 8.4.0.  This release contains exciting new features and reports as detailed in the release notes below.

Important Highlights

Please keep in mind these release notes only reflect the changes included in this release.  There are many other features of the software that were previously released that will not be reflected in these release notes.  General information about all of the features available in USAS-R can be found in our USAS-R Documentation.  There is a section in the documentation that also details the significant changes between USAS-R and classic USAS.

  1. The ability for districts to create their own IRS FIRE System 1099 submission file is currently being implemented.  Districts will need to obtain a Transmitter Control Code from the IRS in order to use this new feature.  The IRS Configuration available under the System\Configuration menu option will need to be updated to specify that the district is creating the submission file and the Transmitter Control Code will need to be entered.  Once this has been done you'll see the 1099 UI looks a bit different, including additional fields to be populated.  Please take note, we have additional changes to make to this option before it becomes fully functional.  We will notify you when it is complete.

  2. Three new history reports have been added:  the Appropriation, Budget and Revenue History reports are now available.  These reports mimic the Classic APPHIS, BUDHIS and REVHIS reports.  All three reports allow the user to select to report for a specific set of funds or cash accounts (fund-SCCs).

  3. Corrected a problem printing split items via XML.  A previous change introduced a bug with generating the XML to print POs with split items.
