USAS-R v8.43.0 Release Notes

Summary

This release of USAS-R contains a patch as detailed in the release notes below.  Please keep in mind these release notes only reflect the changes included in this release.  There are many other features of the software that were previously released that will not be reflected in these release notes.  General information about all of the features available in USAS-R can be found in our USAS-R Documentation.  There is a section in the documentation that also details the significant changes between USAS-R and Classic USAS.

Improvements

• Two new audit jobs have been created to assist ITCs and districts with submitting necessary reports to AOS for both the site and SOC1 audits.  From the Utilities menu you'll select Job Scheduler and click the Create button on the top left of the grid.  Select the "Job Type" drop down and choose either the DistrictAuditJob or the SOC1AuditJob to schedule.  In the event trigger you will enter a cron expression to schedule the specifics and frequency of running the job. Once the job completes, you can review the reports in the new "Audit Files" tab that has been added to the File Archive.  The Audit Files grid will contain 2 entries per fiscal year, one for each of the new audit jobs once they have been executed.  Each of the jobs generate new reports for the prior fiscal year, which is determined by the current period.  The reports are also zipped and securely sent to an AOS server via sftp.  The zipped file names include the district IRN, fiscal year, description and the date and time the file was generated.  Please see the Job Scheduler chapter of the USAS-R documentation for more details: https://mcoecn.atlassian.net/wiki/x/9oQ2.

  • The SOC1 Audit Job contains the following reports:

    • SSDT User Listing AOS Extract

    • SSDT Authentication and Password Requirement Configuration Report

    • SSDT Default Breakin Detection and Evasion Rule Report

  • The District Audit Job contains the following reports in TXT format:

    • SSDT USAS Auditor Extract

    • SSDT USAS Auditor Extract - Transaction

    • SSDT USAS Auditor Extract - Vendor

    • SSDT Cash Summary

    • GAAP Extract

Bug Fix

• USPS Integration: improved the retrieval of expenditure accounts based on true active status.  Whether or not the expenditure account is active depends on it's on active flag, the start and stop dates on the account, and the status of it's parent accounts both Appropriation and Cash accounts.  The sync process now was updated to return active expenditure accounts that meet all of the specified criteria.
