Summary
This is the third hotfix release for version 7.8.0. This hotfix corrects the following problems:
We've created a rule that requires the Budget and Expenditure to be a 1:1 relationship. User was able to delete an Expenditure Account, but it's associated Budget remained. This prevented the expendable amounts on the Appropriation and Budget Summary reports from matching.
We updated the application to prevent deleting the Expenditure account if it's associated Budget has transactions posted to it. This is related to the issue described above.
We've improved the account change service to remove obsolete code. Â
We've corrected a problem that caused encumbrances to be incorrect if the prior fiscal year is not closed. Posting periods are meant to be closed once entities have balanced for the month. They are not meant to be left open indefinitely.
SCView reported a problem querying checks. We found and corrected a problem with an enum conversion that caused problems with SCView queries.
We corrected a problem with the vendor import with regards to the vendor tax id type, or TIN Type as it was known in Classic. This value was incorrectly imported into the redesign. For those districts already on the Redesign we will have a fix available via the Mass Change Service. We will be contacting ITCs to explain how to assist districts in cleaning up their data in the next week or two.
A hotfix or quick-fix is typically a single change that addresses a problem in the software.  Hotfixes are made to address a specific concern and provide a quick solution.
Please keep in mind these release notes only reflect the changes included in this release. There are many other features of the software that were previously released that will not be reflected in these release notes. General information about all of the features available in USAS-R can be found in our USAS Documentation. There is a section in the documentation that also details the significant changes between USAS-R and classic USAS.Â
