Summary

This release of USPS contains bug fixes and improvements. See highlights below.

The 2025.8.0 release of USPS added a change to Payroll Posting that requires saving the Employee last paid date. This requires the validations on the Employee record to be checked each time payroll is posted. It is possible for an Employee validation to cause an error in payroll posting. SSDT has had two reports of this happening, both related to extra spaces / tabs in the Credential ID property on the Employee. Attached is a report that can be loaded into USPS and run to extract these values. You can then open the CSV report in Notepad++ to find possible Employees who have extra spaces or tab in the credential id field. Example below.

In a future release of USPS, this error will be caught at payroll posting and more context will be provided on the payroll error report.

Important highlights from this release

  • Bug Fixes

    • Earnings Register CSV report - comma in a payroll item configuration abbreviation causes column headers to be misaligned

      • To correct this, any abbreviation will have commas removed when included on the report

  • Improvements

    • Improved look and feel Login Form

    • STRS Advance Config will be limited to Admin only users

      • Anyone with access to the Organization view will be able to see the STRS Advance config values in read only

    • ODJFS New Hire Report will now check both ODJFS Reportable and New Hire flags to determine if the employee should be included

  • Internal

    • W2C File REST API and Service

      • This component will be used to serve W2C info to ESS

    • Public Payment REST API

    • Employee Selection REST API changes for ESS/IPDP
