Document Store

The File Archive will continue to function as it currently does until a Document Store instance has been created and integrated for the district. Once Document Store has been integrated with USPS, the following steps will need to be taken to begin using Document Storage.

  1. Please review the Post Install Procedures on the Document Store Installation Guide.

  2. Once the Document Store module installation has been completed, any bundles that run will send the results to Document Storage. Files will not continue to be added to the File Archive, but will be accessible until they are migrated.

  3. Migrations: at this point Migration from File Archive to Document Store can be initiated.

    1. Once a migration has been initiated the process will run until it completes. If the application is restarted while a migration is running the migration will resume once the application has restarted.

    2. Migrations can be rerun as many times as needed to ensure a full migration of all eligible (non-corrupt) documents. Each subsequent migration will produce it’s own migration results file that will be added to the Migration results grid. See the Document Store General Troubleshooting Guide for a list of known errors, the reason for the error, and the resolution steps.

  4. Search feature: you’ll notice a new tab in the Document Storage area called Search. This tab will allow you to search the contents of the files stored in Document Storage. Additional information on how to use the Search feature will be available from the user documentation soon.
