Summary
This is a hotfix release of USPS-R that corrects six issues detected both through internal testing and user feedback.Â
Important highlights from this release
This hotfix corrects formatting issues detected in the STRS per pay submission file.
In the course of testing this issue it was determined that the direct send to STRS option built into the application was not delivering the file successfully to STRS.Â
We are working to correct this problem, but the correction is not included on this hotfix release.
In the interim the submission file can simply be uploaded to STRS using their web portal:Â https://www.strsoh.org/employer/upload.html.
We have also temporarily removed the send to STRS buttons from the STRS reports to ensure this option is not inadvertently used before we correct the underlying issue.
A potential problem with other state withholding (non-Ohio) has been corrected.Â
This issue could require a correction using adjustment journal entries if the following statements are all true.
You are processing live on USPS-R.Â
You do not intend to re-import.
You withheld tax for a state other than Ohio in a payroll processed in USPS-R
The payroll item configuration record for that other state record was configured such that at least one of the annuities listed was not honored by that state.
If you match the above criteria and need assistance determining if an adjustment journal entry will be required please contact your ITC and/or the SSDT via ssdt-feedback@nwoca.org.
