Summary

This release of USPS-R contains several patches, improvements and new features as detailed in the updates section below.

Known Issues

The current file import option that is used to load the payslip and W2 archives into USPS-R is not taking the payslip number or W2 control number (if applicable) into consideration when building the file key. The files are loaded, but only the first matching file can be returned by the newly created document retrieval service replacement. USPSR-3507 will resolve this limitation. After that issue is completed and released ITCs / districts will simply need to delete and re-import the file archive and then all files will be returned.

Important highlights from this release

  1. This release of USPS-R contains the implementation of a replacement for the classic web application document retrieval service.

    1. This is the service the Kiosk uses to return the PDF version of both payslips and W2s.

    2. We have tested our new service with the Kiosk and verified compatibility.

    3. Please note as described in the Known Issues section above the the payslip number is not currently part of the file key. As a result the payslip number will not be displayed in the Kiosk list of payslips.

      1. Clicking on the link, however will return a copy the pay slip which typically includes the number along with all other pertinent information.

    4. If an employee has two payslips for the same pay date only one will be returned.

    5. Additionally only one W2 will be listed for a single year if the employee had multiple W2s due to locality overflow etc.

    6. All of these issues will be resolved when USPSR-3507 is completed.

  2. The configuration option specifying if regular and accrued wages should be combined on checks and direct deposit notices will now be referenced when the XML is generated.

  3. This release contains several performance enhancements, which should significantly reduce memory consumption.
