Summary

This is a hotfix release of USPS-R that corrects the issues detailed below.

Important highlights from this release

  1. The recent 5.22.2 hotfix release updated the W2 xml output to create a separate entry when the number of an employee's localities required this. However, the XML did not remove the federal and state totals for the second entry. When generating the .DAT file classic did not populate these field for additional W2s, but only for the first.

    1. It was reported that this caused issues with the report generated by the Edge software as they were adding the amounts from the additional W2s together.

    2. Based on the reports we received this did not affect the actual printing of the W2s only the report generated by Edge that some sites use as an additional balancing tool.

    3. This release now clears the amounts on the additional W2s, which is consistent with classic behavior and should also result in a correct report from Edge.

  2. For W2 printing USPS-R was requiring a W2 abbreviation be entered on cities in order for them to be printed on the W2.

    1. Classic allowed this field to be left blank and would default it to the first six characters of the city name.

    2. This release implements this same behavior in USPS-R.

    3. Please note this only affected the XML output and did not impact the W2 submission file.

  3. An issue was detected internally that affected the ACH submission file if the direct deposit debit / credit clearing account option was configured on the ACH source record.

    1. This is a fairly rare configuration and we have had no reports of this issue from the field, but it has now been resolved should a future district need to use this option.
