April Recap
USAS-R Releases
Bug Fixes
Appropriation Resolution Recap report has been corrected to remove the duplicate total lines. Previously, the user would see three rows per fund. The recap report has been cleaned up to include only one row per fund and formatting improved. This recap is always added to the end of the report when running the Appropriation Resolution, any options. The checkbox on the report parameters "Summarize Recap by Fund?" will be checked by default. If unchecked, then Appropriation Recap Report section will be organized by Fund-SCC instead.
A problem that prevent users from seeing the jobs they had created has been corrected. This bug was reported for a specific user that was unable to see their own jobs in the Job Scheduler.
Improvements
Performance improvements were made to posting pending transactions to POs and posting invoices.
Posting pending transactions to POs improved 70%
Posting AP Invoices improved 44-50%
Errors related to posting payables were not always being displayed to the user. This problem has been corrected.
The EMIS extract has been modified to remove the INFOTECIRN line from the extract file per ODE.
Information updated in the EMIS Manual. Specifically page 21 of this section: Organization General Information (DN) Record
This info was pulled from the ITC IRN field on the Core > Organization page in USAS-R. The field is still there, but is now optional to populate as it isn't being used for any reporting.
The following improvements have been made to the Job Scheduler
renamed the label "Event Trigger" with "Cron Expression"
when scheduling a new job via the Create button on the Job Scheduler grid, the submit button will be disabled unless both fields (Job Type & Cron Expression) are populated. Previously users would receive an error if both fields were not populated.
the grid will now refresh when the job is created to display the newly created job
corrected the view/edit display to prevent field labels from overlapping the field value. The Description field previously overlapped the value of the job's description.
A new role has been created to grant users permission to modify a specific set of fields on the user record. The USAS_USER_PROFILE role grants users permission to view the User grid via the System menu option and modify the following fields for any user listed in the grid. The permissions granted by this new role have been included with the existing USAS_MANAGER role. This new role or "limited" permission should not be granted to users with SYSMAN_USER or ADMIN roles.
name
title
email address
filters
selectable group chains
requisition prefixes
restrict requisitions
balance checking flags: allow negative appropriation, allow negative budget and warn on negative amounts
The canned version of the Purchase Order Detail report has been updated to show the current period remaining encumbrance when run for Outstanding POs.
The various 1099 format options have been updated to allow selecting specific vendors. Previously you could only select vendors if you were generating the IRS format.
The 2nd payee name has been added to Positive Pay.
As part of this update, the Payee field was also renamed to Payee Name in order to be consistent with the way the field is named in USPS and also for consistency between the two Payee Name fields. An unfortunate side effect of these changes left the Payee field in existing Positive Pay extract definitions blank. Districts will simply need to select the Payee Name field from the drop down to continue using the Payee field they were using previously. This will be a one time change to the extract.

Bug Fixes
The Earnings Register Report was updated to handle refund of payroll items properly. These will now be subtracted from the totals (as Classic did).
The Employer Retirement Share Report and Submission was updated to sort the default pay account selection in position number order.
When no employer distribution account is found, the system attempts to generate default accounts to use. It does this by searching through all of the positions paid for the employee on a given payroll and uses the accounts from the first Position we find with valid percentage accounts.
The pay accounts should now be checked in position order. So if Position 1 for example meets the criteria above, then it's accounts should be used before Position 2 accounts.
The ACH Submission >Generate PDF Report will now properly list debit amounts. If the Core>ACH Source is not set up to create a debit transaction, the 'Total Amount Debited' and 'Number of Debits' will be zero.

Reversed the Absence/Attendance Import update provided on the 6.63.0 Release. The update was causing issues with certain columns that were normally allowed to be left blank. This will be released with a future release.
Updated the Rate to auto populate correctly when using the Overtime Pay Type in Payroll Payments - Future. This was broken with enhancements made on the 6.63.0 Release.
Updates made to Payments>Payroll Payments - Future caused the pay account to not properly clear when the Save and New option was used in Future Pay Amount Detail view. This was corrected.
The STRS Reporting>STRS Advance - Advance Position Report was updated to exclude Compensations with Compensation Stop Dates prior to 'Ending Date for the Academic Year.'
Payroll Payments - Future was updated to make the Gross non-modifiable.

The Job Calendar Report was update assure the report always produces a single page report.
Updated the Federal Payroll Item task in Employee Onboarding to remove 'Number of Exemptions' field

Coach = Position Description
L = Compensation Type
FY22 = Compensation Label
The Pay Group the Position is attached to will now be displayed (read-only.)
The Rate from the Compensation will auto populate (if a rate exists).
Once a Pay Type, Unit, and Rate (which auto populates if If a value on the Compensation exists), the Gross will calculate.
When using the new search account option, the filtering of accounts was improved.
The XRef Code was added as a column and filterable property to the Account Search Window.
Errors messages for Earn Codes 01 and 02 were added to the SERS Reporting>SERS Per Pay Report were added if no hours and/or days are found. Errors do NOT prevent the submission file from being created.
Error Earnings Code '01' must include both days and hours paid - **Error should be fixed BEFORE running/submitting the SERS Per Pay Submission File**

Bug Fixes
The Schedule of Change in Fixed Assets and Schedule of Change in Depreciation reports have been corrected to properly handle transfer and error adjustment amounts. Previously the reports were not properly handling transfer and error adjustment amounts and therefore were not increasing and decreasing the beginning value amounts correctly.
Items with missing funds were preventing the GAAP reports from generating. Items without funds will now be grouped in the Unknown/Undetermined section of the reports.
The capitalized calculation was not using both the life expectancy and dollar limit to determine the capitalized status. The item and the Capitalization Criteria option were modified to use both values to calculate the capitalized status properly. If your capitalization status is incorrect, System>Capitalization Criteria needs to be run (using existing capitalization criteria values) to correct the status.
The YTD depreciation calculation was unable to properly calculate when the salvage value or life to date depreciate were null/blank. When trying to run the Schedule of Change in Depreciation or Book Value report, the report would not generate stating the URL might be temporarily down or may have been temporarily moved. The calculation has been updated to cope with these values, using zero in place of blank or null. The migration importer has been updated also to prevent importing blank or null values.
The last fiscal year closed and current fiscal year for new Inventory instances has been corrected for non-migrating districts. The calculation that determines the fiscal year was only looking at the year and not the month, which is why the fiscal year was not properly calculated.
Corrected a problem that prevented location codes from extracting from the Location Codes grid.
Improvements
Work has begun on the audit report. This will take a few releases to complete so there is nothing visible in the application at this point.
