Summary
This is a hotfix release of USPS-R, which corrects a problem related to new contract activation and the processing of the last pay of the old contract.
Important highlights from this release
- In order to process new compensations properly when the payroll date range for the last pay on the old compensation includes days for the new compensation, we need to 'link' the old and new compensations together. The changes to New Contract will handle this linking when new compensations are activated. If the district has activated any compensations using New Contract (or manually) then you may need to take additional steps to link these compensations. There are 2 methods by which you can effect this:
- Two new fields have been added to the Compensation detail window for Contract Compensations named 'Contract Change/Extension Type' and 'Contract Change/Extension Source'. You can set the type to New Contract and select the compensation from which this compensation is continuing.
- We are providing a mass change definition to assist with the linking of compensations to make this process easier if you have a large number of activated compensations. You would download the included mass change definition, ensure that the Mass Change module is installed and then navigate to the Compensation view. Filter the grid to only include Contract Compensations by entering 'Contract' in the 'Type' column filter and then click the Mass Change button. NOTE: An ADMIN user is generally required (depending on how your permissions are set) to import a mass change definition. Import the provided mass change definition and then switch to Execution mode. Double-check that only Contract types are selected and execute the mass change definition.
