USAS-R v8.1.0 Release Notes

Summary

We are excited to release USAS-R version 8.1.0.  This release contains exciting new features, bug fixes and reporting improvements as detailed in the release notes below.

Important Highlights

Please keep in mind these release notes only reflect the changes included in this release.  There are many other features of the software that were previously released that will not be reflected in these release notes.  General information about all of the features available in USAS-R can be found in our USAS-R Documentation.  There is a section in the documentation that also details the significant changes between USAS-R and classic USAS. 

• Improved the performance of the Revenues and Expenditures report by 98%.

• Corrected a problem with the AR Customer Import that caused the import to fail.  The problem was related to address field having a null value.  The import wasn't allowing for null values and has been updated to not fail if part of the address is null.  We also modified the import to improve a previous correction with regard to vendors that already existed in redesign.  The problem was related to comparing the address fields to the classic vendor to make sure it's the same vendor and prevent importing duplicates.

• Corrected the GAAP extract to limit the number of characters included on the cash account description to 50 to comply with the Web-GAAP application import.

• Corrected the Account Change process to also update void disbursement items.  Previously the account change process was not updating void disbursements.  We have also written patch to update any void disbursements related to an account that had an account change processed since account change was implemented.  This patch will update any void disbursement related to an account that had been changed from fiscal year 2020 and later.
