Summary
This release of USPS-R contains improvements, patches and new features as detailed in the full release notes below.
Important highlights from this release
- USPSR-3611 This release of USPS-R corrects an issue with the handling of refund of deductions processed for annuities that were originally honored for city withholding.
- Prior to this patch when processing a refund of deduction for an annuity that was honored for city withholding city tax was not being withheld from the refund amount.
- If you have processed a refund of deduction for an annuity originally honored for city withholding while live on USPS-R and do not plan to re-import you could have been affected by this issue.
- If you were affected an adjustment journal for city taxable gross will need to be entered.
- You may also want to apply an error adjustment to properly withhold city tax for the missed amount on the refund.
- If you have questions about whether you were affected by this issue or need assistance in correcting the problem please contact your ITC or the SSDT directly by sending e-mail to ssdt-feedback@nwoca.org.
- USPSR-3629 Supplemental taxing options were not being correctly cross validated.
- An employee can only have one supplemental taxing option applied in the course of a single payroll (i.e. apply annuities to regular or apply annuities to supplemental).
- Prior to this fix the application was not allowing the "none" option to be used in conjunction with one of the true supplemental taxing options.
- This was incorrect and has been corrected, so you can now have pay amounts taxed with the none option and one of the supplemental tax options in a single payroll.
- USPSR-3498 The STRS advance submission file can now be transmitted directly to STRS from the USPS-R STRS advance screen.
- USPSR-3578 user created custom fields applied to the employee can now be selected for reporting via the USPS-R Census report.
- USPSR-3590 The server logs are now available for display in the System→Monitor view.
- In addition, the ability to send your sever logs to the SSDT has been added to bottom of the Help→About screen.
- This will assist users and ITCs in debugging issues and will allow users and ITC staff to securely send server logs to the SSDT without involving their network operations staff.
- Please note: the SSDT is not notified when the server logs are transmitted, so you will need to continue to notify us, when sending your logs, by sending e-mail to ssdt-feedback@nwoca.org.
