Begin processing in the Inventory application. If you are wanting to mass-load data, please refer to the following:
- Mass-load Core codes, : please refer to the System>Import chapter for more information on available spreadsheet templates and formatting information to mass-load Core data codes (i.e. location codes, categories, asset classes, etc).
- Mass-load new items acquired in an open period, : please refer to the System>Import chapter, Item Import Type type section, for an available template spreadsheet and formatting information to mass-load new items acquired in an open period
- Mass-load items acquired in prior periods, years: ITC assistance is required due to further configuration that needs addressedto import data from prior years. Please contact your ITC for assistance.

There is no particular order on how to import Core and Item data. When importing items, any CORE fields that are not already defined under the CORE menu will be automatically added to CORE (with blank descriptions). For example, if I have several locations on my items spreadsheet that are not already defined in CORE>LOCATIONS, when imported the new items, the associated locations will be automatically added to Core>Locations with a blank description. The user can modify the locations manually to add the description or extract them from the Locations grid, add the descriptions in EXCEL and import the newly updated locations via System>Import's 'location code' import type. |
