The user manual is organized by the menus in USAS-R and then alphabetically by program. It contains details and steps for executing the programs in the USAS-R package.
Core menu contains the central pieces of USAS-R. Almost all transactions/processing requires an account code or vendor.
Transaction menu contains the entity's daily functions for expenditure and receipt processing.
Budgeting
The Report module allows the user to generate a report from either a listing of canned, predefined reports or create a custom report using the "detail" option.
Admin menu contains programs that control how processing is defined and done on the system and other options that only an administrator would access.
Utilities menu contains information on the user currently logged in.
USPS Integration controls if and how the software is connected to the USPS-R system.

Date 'shortcuts'
Many of the grid queries and reports allow for a date or date range to be entered. For example, you can use the beginning and ending characters to indicate the beginning and ending dates for the current applicable period. Please note these aren't case-sensitive.

Y - Jan 1 of current calendar year
R - Dec 31 of current calendar year
FiscaL
F - July 1 of current fiscal year
L - June 30 of current fiscal year
MontH (based on current system date)
M - first of current month
H - last day of current month
WeeK
W - Sunday
K - Saturday
PerioD (Posting Period)
P - first day of current posting period
D - last day of current posting period
Quarter
Q - first day of quarter
U - last day of quarter
T - today
+ tomorrow
- yesterday
