In order to split an item, it must have a quantity greater than one in the "number of items" field and it can not have a status of disposed of, inactive, or old tag item.  There is no maximum number of tags a lot may be split into. Image Removed  

  1. Click on Image Modified.  A projection run is selected by default.  The tag number to split is displayed in the original tag # and the starting tag # however, you may overwrite the starting tag #. 
  2. Enter the number
  3. Click + or - to increase or decrease the # of new tags
  4. to split.
Note

In order for the split to complete successfully, the starting tag and subsequent, consecutive tag numbers must be available.  For example, if I split tag #100, starting with tag #100 into 10 different tags, if tag #101 is already on file, it will generate an error and the tag will not split.  If you are splitting the tag into 10 separate tags, all 10 tag numbers must be consecutive and available.  If tag numbers 102-112 are available to use, your starting tag # should be 102
