The following provides a breakdown of the key statuses of a leave request and who (roles) has the ability to manage and monitor the leave request at a particular status.
Who can create a leave request?
A user (role) can create their own leave request. Once submitted, the leave request is at an initiated status.
A Leave Manager, District Manager or Admin (role) can create a leave request on behalf of a staff member via the Leave Request>Elevated Create Leave Request. Once submitted, the leave request is at an initiated status.

What does reverting a leave request mean? Is that the same as reject?
No it is not. Rejecting a leave request will change the status of the leave request to ‘rejected’ and the original requester will have to either edit the leave request to make necessary changes and re-submit OR they will need to create a new leave request with the correct information. Reverting a leave request can only be performed (by Once approved, the leave request is at an approved status.
Who can export a leave request?
A Leave Manager, District Manager or Admin roles) on leave requests with role can export (and revert) staff’s leave requests that have been fully approved. Once exported, the leave request is at an exported status. It will revert the status back to approved.
