The legacy cash reports only include uploaded (or manual cash) transactions. As the cash receipt and expenditure transactions (USAS account balances not the individual transactions within the account balances) are uploaded, Web-GAAP rounds each uploaded transaction to the nearest dollar and stores the whole dollar amount. All the amounts, including the GAAP adjustments, are to be whole dollars in the application. Uploading the cash transactions disables the manual cash transaction type for that entity and fiscal year.
The fund financial statements present the funds as mapped within the application and present major funds as flagged within the application. Additionally the fund type is as defined by the user (or the upload file). All of these are maintained using maintain fund code under the set-up menu. Mass mapping can be helpful for the initial mapping if the cash upload is used to create the initial fund/SCSC records. Mass mapping will not override existing mapping. Fund mapping rolls forward each year as part of the opening of a new fiscal year, so each subsequent year would only require mapping any new fund/SCC records. If a fund/SCC record exists in Web-GAAP for that entity and fiscal year the application will ignore the USAS AF record for that fund/SCC contained in that year’s GAAPEXP.TXT.
