A custom Report Bundle can be created to schedule additional reports to be sent to the Monthly File archive along with the standard SSDT Monthly Report Bundle.
Create a Report Bundle with the Additional Reports
To Create a new Bundle of reports, navigate to the Reports > Report Bundle page and click on
option.- To Create a new Bundle of reports, navigate to the Reports > Report Bundle page and click on option.
- Enter information into the following fields:
- Report Bundle Name: The report bundle name will be used in the Report Bundle grid and will also default as the name to be used for scheduling the bundle. For example, this bundle could be named "Additional Monthly Reports"
- Description: Optional to add additional description detail that will show in grid. For example, the description for this bundle could be "Send Additional Reports to File Archive with Monthly Reports"
- Tags: Optional user-defined tag that can be used to easily query like report bundles in the grid.
- To create a bundle of Reports, click on or start typing the report name under Select the Report to Add to the Bundle.
- Once selected, this report will then show under Click + to Add this report with the desired Report Options to the Bundle. This grid will show one row for each of the saved parameters (created from the "Save and Recall" option) that exists for the chosen report. Use the icon to select which version of the report to add to the Report Bundle.
- The report will show that it has been added to the 'Reports currently in the Bundle' box below.
- To add more reports to the bundle, select another report from the 'Select the Report to Add to the Bundle' option. Then click the next to the report under 'Add this Report with the desired Report Options to the Bundle' box. This report will then show with the others in 'Report currently in the Bundle' box.
- To modify the report parameters for reports included in the Report Bundle, click on the icon next to the report in the grid at the bottom of the pop up window.
Update the report parameters as needed.
The Name of the report can be updated at this step. This will show as the Report Title in the grid and will also show as the report name once it is in the File Archive. All reports for the month will show together in the File Archive so it may be beneficial to update the Report Title on custom/additional reports to allow them to be easily distinguished from the standard reports.
- If the Report has Start/Stop dates, they will default to run for the Posting Period being closed when using the Event suggested in this process. Modifying the Start/Stop dates in this step will not override that so these fields do not need to be updated. (Custom date ranges can be used with the Cron Job or Immediate job types.)
- Click on to save the Report Bundle.
- To Exit out of the report bundles selecting option, click on the x in the right hand corner.
- After the Report Bundle has been created, it will show in the Report Bundle Manager grid.
