Summary
This is the fourth hotfix release for version 7.19. This hotfix will make the following improvements
- Corrects the usasimport.log to properly display the status of the EncumbranceLedgerJob. Previously the job could result in exceptions that were being listed in the log file, but after those errors it would state that the job successfully completed, which was incorrect. It's important to note that whoever is reviewing the import log needs to look for "Exceptions" and report them to the SSDT for assistance.
- The above problem was caused by missing posting periods related to PURGEDAMTS* invoices. This happens when a ledger is posted for a PURGEDAMTS* invoice that is related to a PO whose date is in a fiscal year without a June posting period. We previously corrected the problem with missing posting periods, but at least one district imported before the fix was available.
- Updated the Import Utility to accurately return the status of the post import jobs.
- In an attempt to make it harder to miss problems with the import, we're now logging a message about the "health" of the application. For any import related job that does not have a status of "COMPLETED" we're setting the application health to a warning. This will be visible via the tab that displays the current posting period. If there is a message, the message count will be greater than zero. Click on the tab to view the message. If an import job has failed the following message will be visible "There was a problem during the post import process; not all jobs completed successfully. Check the import log for errors." If you see this message, review the import log for errors and check the System/Monitor Status tab to review the jobs that FAILED.
A hotfix or quick-fix is typically a single change that addresses a problem in the software. Hotfixes are made to address a specific concern and provide a quick solution.
