STRS New Hire Report Options
This option allows users to create a New Employee Enrollment file to send to STRS. STRS New Hire Report will create a report and can create a submission file for new employees and employees who have had a lapse in service. A rehired retiree MUST be reported manually on the STRS website. The user will run STRS New Hire Report if they do not wish to enter the new employee enrollment information in the STRS website.
- Enter the STRS New Hire Report Options if you choose to change the Report Title.
- Generate the Report by clicking on
- Generate the submission file. There are 2 options available:
- To generate the submission file immediately:
- Click on to send the Submission file immediately to STRS.
- To generate the submission file at a later date:
- Click on and then at a later time you can submit it to STRS. At a later date you would perform the following:
- Find the STRS New Hire csv file and click the
- Upload the file by clicking
- Submit the file by clicking
- Click on and then at a later time you can submit it to STRS. At a later date you would perform the following:

STRS New Hire Report
Criteria needed for an employee to be on the STRS New Hire report- An employee has to have a STRS =450 payroll item with the new employee box checked and hold a position that has STRS as the retirement code and uses the earliest Position Start Date (both found on the Position screen) must be within 180 days prior of the current date for the employee to be eligible for the report.
