You should only follow the instructions on this page only if specifically instructed to do so by the SSDT. This is not necessary for ITC's and districts using the standard docker configuration provided by the SSDT. If you used the standard setup scripts then the API keys will be configured in both applications automatically.
Generate API Key
This option allows the admin to configure a security key to allow USPS-R to communicate with USAS-R. A similar configuration must be completed in the USAS-R system.
The USAS Integration Security Configuration screen:
This allows the admin to generate an Application Id and Api Key for USPS-R, which can then be entered into the USAS-R system. The Remote Application Id and Remote API Key would be the USAS-R Id and Key.
From the USAS Integration menu select 'Security Configuration':
Click on
A confirmation box will be displayed, click on to continue.
A new API Key will be generated, at this point the 'Remote Application ID' and 'Remote API Key' from the USAS-R system would be entered:
Click on to keep the new information, click on to not keep the information.
Disable Message Security
This option deletes the security key that was generated and will disable the communication between USPS-R and USAS-R.
From the USAS Integration menu select 'Security Configuration'.
Click on
A confirmation box will be displayed click on to delete the local security key.
In addition to this option, USAS-R configuration information must also be entered into the Module Configuration option for the USAS module. These options will only be available if the USAS module is installed
USPS Module Configuration
From the System menu select 'Configuration'
Click on beside the USAS Configuration
Enter in the required information:
Click on to keep the changes, click on to leave the configuration as is.
