Supervisors will be able to approve their staff’s leave requests via the home screen Home Screen or the Leave Request Approval option on the menu (below). Once a leave request has been approved or rejected, it will be removed from the leave request grid (as well as the ‘leave request approval’ grid on the home screen). The grid includes the employee name, position, leave date(s), length of absence, category and leave balance (current leave balance for that leave type, subtracting any approved leaves). Click on in order to view full details of each leave request and to approve or reject the leave. You may also mass approve or reject leave requests by selecting the leave requests you wish to mass approve/reject (or use the top box to select all).

View a Leave Request
If you prefer to view the details of a leave request before approving it, click on . It will open a window containing their leave request details. You will not be able to edit their leave request. Options to Reject or Approve their leave request are displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Approve: A pop-up confirmation window box will appear providing a note area to optionally enter a reason for the approval. Click Approve. If there is another approver in the workflow, the leave request will move onto the next approver. The originator will be notified (via email) that the request has been approved. The leave request will remain as a status of ‘initiated’ in their ‘My Leave Requests’ grid until it has been through the entire approval workflow, at which time the status will be updated to approved. The originator may open When viewing the leave request to view , the ‘Leave Request Approval Trail’ which will include the approvers display who has approved the leave, optional notes they the approvers entered, and the date/time timestamp of when the leave it was approved.

Mass Approve or Mass Reject Leave Requests
Click on one or more checkboxes to the left of each staff member listed to approve or reject their leave request(s). Click Approve or Reject. By taking this action, it will automatically approve or reject the leave without providing the ability to enter a note prior to submitting it.
