Disposition Codes
Disposition codes are used to define the disposition method of an item whose status is "disposed of". Codes are maintained under Core>Disposition Codes. The disposition codes are utilized when posting an item under TRANSACTIONS>Items.
Create a Disposition Code
- From the Core menu, select "Disposition Codes" to display the grid.
- Click
- Enter desired information into the disposition code window
- Code: Required field that must be manually entered. This field will allow for a maximum two numeric/alphanumeric characters.
- Description is the description entered to define the disposition code.
- Click on
to add the disposition code. Click on 
to cancel out without saving changes.
Search/View a Disposition Code
The Disposition Code grid displays existing disposition codes. You can search for existing disposition codes by clicking in the filter row in the grid columns and entering in the desired information. By default, the grid sorts alphabetically by Code. Click on 
to generate a quick extract (CSV or EXCEL format) based on what you filtered. Click on any row of the search results to see a highlight view of the record. Click the view icon 
to view a particular disposition code.
Edit a Disposition Code
NOTE: Only the description of the Disposition Code may be edited.
If you created a disposition code by mistake or assigned the wrong code and there are no items associated with the disposition code, you must delete the disposition code and create a new one with the correct information.
To edit an asset class:
- Query for desired disposition code
- Click on the edit icon
- Make desired description changes
- Click on
to post the changes to the system. Click on Close to close the window and return to the grid without saving changes.
Delete a Disposition Code
Delete may be used to delete a Disposition Code that does not have any associated Inventory items.
- Query the desired disposition code
- Click on the Delete icon
- Confirm you want to delete by clicking on
