Users
A "user" is a person that the software is designed for and is using it. The username entered when creating the user is the username they will use to log into Inventory.
Users are assigned one or more Roles. The roles assigned to the user thus determine the access that user will have in the system.
Inventory users will not migrate from Classic EIS. Users must be created in Redesign after import.
Create a User
From the System menu, select 'User'
Click on from the User grid
Enter/Select required user information
Inventory Roles include:

The Username character limit is 64 characters.
If active directory has been enabled under System>ADS Configuration, you may check the 'external authentication' in order for a user to login in using active directory
Two-Factor Authentication cannot be enabled unless a proper email address has first been entered in the user account.
If Two-Factor Authentication has been enabled, the user must use DUO mobile authentication to login into Inventory. If the user's DUO account has not been set up in the application, they will not be able to log into Inventory.
3. Click on to create the user or to cancel and close out of the window.
View/Search
The User grid allows the user to search for existing accounts by clicking in the filter row in the grid columns and entering in the desired information. Click on any row to view a user record.
Edit User
Click on in the grid beside the user to edit the record. Only fields that are allowed to be edited will be displayed.
Delete User
Click on on the grid beside the user record you want to delete. Users that are associated with transactions are not able to be deleted. However, you may disable an account that is no longer being used.
Change User Password
A user's password may be created/changed for them by accessing the icon for the desired user on the grid. TIP: If the user knows their password, they may change it themselves under System>Change Password option.
To change a user's password
From the System menu, select Users
Click on on the desired user account
Enter New Password and re-enter password under Verify New Password
Click on and a pop-up message will display stating the password has been changed successfully.
Lock or Unlock User
A user will be locked out after 5 consecutive Failed Attempts at logging in. For more information on how Failed Attempts will show on the User’s record.. After too many attempts, the User will be detected as an intruder and receive a bad credentials error. The User cannot change their password until their account is unlocked by a user with this permission. To unlock their account, use the unlock button on the grid.
