Summary

This release of USAS-R contains bug fixes and improvements as detailed in the release notes below.  Please keep in mind these release notes only reflect the changes included in this release.  There are many other features of the software that were previously released that will not be reflected in these release notes.  General information about all of the features available in USAS-R can be found in our USAS-R Documentation.  There is a section in the documentation that also details the significant changes between USAS-R and Classic USAS.

Important Highlights

Bug Fixes

  • Improved the method that checks to see if all amounts on an account are zero to also make sure there are no transactions against an account.  If an account were to have multiple transactions that net to zero the account was being excluded from reports.

Improvements

  • Updated the admin user account to set the external authentication flag to false.

  • Proration Utility related improvements

    • Improved the Proration Utility spreadsheet to display accounts sorted in the expected account code order.

    • A new Account Mapping Utility has been added to the Utilities menu.  This will allow users to define an account mapping that can be used when creating a PO from the Proration Utility.

    • Implemented the ability to create a PO CSV file from the pronation utility spreadsheet to post via the PO grid.  Users will create a proration utility spreadsheet and modify as needed to calculate the prorated amount for each account.  To create the PO CSV, click on the "Create PO CSV" button.  This will create a PO CSV file that is properly formatted to be imported into the PO grid via the "Import" button.  Each row in the spreadsheet will become an item on the PO, as long as the prorated amount is not zero.  The popup to create the PO CSV will provide a default filename that can be modified if desired, a drop down to select an account mapping that will be used to charge the amounts on the PO, the ability to assign a PO # (leave blank to auto assign), a dropdown to select a vendor, and a PO date that will default to the current system date.  Once created, the file can imported via the PO grid to create the PO.

  • Updated our import routines to clean up caching by evicting from the cache once the import completes.

Note:  Please be aware, the patch to update the fund type on all 200 funds will be completed in early December as we anticipate releasing these changes to coincide with the full Classic release.
