USAS-R v8.21.0 Release Notes

Summary

We have made some additional improvements to USAS-R with the release of version 8.21.0.  This release contains exciting new features, improvements and bug fixes as detailed in the release notes below.

1. Corrected the handling of budgeting transactions during Account Change.  The process was not properly handling initial amounts when both the target (to account) and source (from account) accounts had initial amounts of a different type (one temporary and one permanent).  The account change will result in an initial amount equal to the sum of both account's initial amounts and if either account's type was permanent the type will be permanent.  Redesign USAS does not behave any differently based on the type of the initial amount.  It is not required to make temporary amounts permanent.  

2. Updated the Posting Period UI to add a progress indicator to allow the processes related to closing June to complete.  

3. Patch to correct bad data imported from Classic that was not cleaned up prior to district going live.

4. Patch to correct district data due to an account change problem that was corrected on the prior release.

5. Created a Service Layer for Bank Accounts

Important Highlights

Please keep in mind these release notes only reflect the changes included in this release.  There are many other features of the software that were previously released that will not be reflected in these release notes.  General information about all of the features available in USAS-R can be found in our USAS-R Documentation.  There is a section in the documentation that also details the significant changes between USAS-R and classic USAS.
