Summary

This release of USAS-R contains bug fixes and improvements and new features as detailed in the release notes below.  Please keep in mind these release notes only reflect the changes included in this release.  There are many other features of the software that were previously released that will not be reflected in these release notes.  General information about all of the features available in USAS-R can be found in our USAS-R Documentation.  There is a section in the documentation that also details the significant changes between USAS-R and Classic USAS.

Important Highlights

Bug Fixes

  • Corrected the auto assign feature for requisitions with a prefix.

  • Restricted the following roles from accessing the file archive due to tax id concerns:  USAS_RO & USAS_REQ.

  • Removed special characters from the Organization's EIN when populating the value for the 1099 extract.

  • Corrected the 1099 submission file to exclude records specific to MISC 1099s if a district only has NEC 1099s.

  • Corrected the Fund UI to remove an erroneous field that was recently added to the backend to use in a report, but was not intended to display in the UI.

  • Corrected the underlying methods that help the Expenditure account determine if all amounts are zero.

Improvements

  • Created USAS_FILEARCHIVE role to grant access to the file archive.  This role can be granted to a user with USAS_RO or USAS_REQ to allow them to access the file archive if needed.

  • Added an option to the canned Purchase Order Detail report to allow running the report for outstanding POs.

  • 1099 related changes

    • Improved the IRS Form 1099 Submission Configuration to include a place to store the contact information (name, phone number and email address) that will be used to populate the 1099 extract.  If districts are submitting their own 1099s to the IRS the fields are required.  Validations were added to the contact fields on the 1099 Extract view to ensure they are not left blank.

    • The 1099 Transmitter report was improved to remove the reference to the Classic TR1099 program, provide a total number of each type of payee and move the grand total of all types to the bottom of the report.

Internal

  • Cleaned up service layer repository methods and filters.

Note:  Please be aware, the patch to update the fund type on all 200 funds will be completed in early December as we anticipate releasing these changes to coincide with the full Classic release.
