USAS-R v8.22.1 Release Notes

Summary

This is the first hotfix release for version 8.22.0.  

This hotfix introduces a canned version of the Financial Detail report available from the Report menu.  The report includes the Save and Recall feature which will allow users to save report runs to be selected a run again at a later time.  Users will be required to select a start and end date and can use the available date shortcuts if desired.  There are drop down boxes to allow the user to easily select an "as of" posting period to run the report for or an account filter to apply to the report.  There is a list of available parameters with which to customize the sorting of the report by.  Once selected, users can also choose to set control and page breaks.

Please be aware, the template versions of the Financial Detail Report are still available and will not be removed at this time.  Additional enhancements still need to be made to the canned report as noted below.  We have created a single canned report that will generate all versions of the existing template reports.  By rewriting this report as a canned report we were able to improve performance by 99.98%. 

Note:  We have additional improvements to make to the new canned report, which are detailed in https://mcoecn.atlassian.net/browse/USASR-4597.  In this issue we will implement the following:

• Make available the following report format options not currently available with this initial version: Excel-Data, Excel-FieldNames, CSV and Tab Separated Values.

• The ability to generate this report using the summary report option.

• The ability to generate a direct link for the report.

Another notable mention is the default sort, as it differs from the template report slightly.  The template report default sort is:  cash account, transaction date, full account code, PO number, receipt number and check number.  The canned report's default sort is:  cash account, transaction date, check number, receipt number, PO number and then full account code.  We will update the canned report to match the default sort used by the template report on our 8.23.0 release scheduled for 6/18/21.

The remaining encumbrance amounts on the template report always show as 0.00 if there is no remaining encumbrance.  The canned report sometimes shows this as a blank instead of 0.00.  We are looking into this as well.  If the PO has a remaining encumbrance it displays correctly.

Please keep in mind these release notes only reflect the changes included in this release.  There are many other features of the software that were previously released that will not be reflected in these release notes.  General information about all of the features available in USAS-R can be found in our USAS-R Documentation.  There is a section in the documentation that also details the significant changes between USAS-R and classic USAS.
