Security Configuration


This option allows the admin to configure a security key to allow USAS to communicate with USPS.  A similar configuration must be completed in the USPS system.

Requires SYSMAN or Administrator Role access.

Generate API Key

This allows the admin to generate an application id and key for USAS, which can then be entered into the USPS system.  The "Remote application id" and "Remote API key" would be the USPS id and key.

  1. From the USPS Integration menu select 'Security Configuration'

  3. A confirmation box will be displayed click on image-20250328-160658.png to continue

  4. A new API key will be generated, at this point the 'remote application ID' and 'remote API key' from the USPS system would be entered. 

  5. Click on image-20250328-160723.png to keep the new information, click on image-20250328-160742.png to not keep the information.

Disable Message Security

This option deletes the security key that was generated and will disable the communication between USAS and USPS.

  1. From the USPS Integration menu select 'Security Configuration'

  3. A confirmation box will be displayed  click on image-20250328-160658.png to delete the local security key.

USPS Configuration

In addition to this option, USPS information must also be populated in the USPS Configuration. These options will only be available if the USPS module is installed.

For more information about installing the USPS Integration Module click here.

The USPS Configuration can be found on the System > Configuration page. The Application Id and API Key fields will be populated with the Application Id and API Key generated on the Security Configuration page. The Remote Application Id and Remote API Key should be populated with the USPS API information.
