This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.31.0 on Jul 2, 2025

Enhancements

  • CNDC - The CNDC module will now allow districts the abilitity to select only the students they are educating. The selection will give districts the ability to get a more accurate list, count and data export of the students they are providing meals for.

  • CNDC - Change the label on the Vendor Export button to PoS/Vendor. This change will make it more clear the export is for Point of Sale lunch systems provided by an outside vendor in most cases.

  • CNDC - Implemented the population of the local IDs as submitted in the SCR data collection. When a district provides a local use ID it will be included in the CNDC student data stored. This same value is available for use in the export. Districts may have to utilize the Vendor file Configuration to include this piece of data in their export files. Non-puplic districts or public districts uploaded non-public students will continue to populate local IDs as they have in the past.

  • CNDC - Implemented procedures within CNDC to automatically load all meal benefit data received from Medicaid Ohio and ODJFS.

  • CNDC - Districts will not be able to access their FY26 data until their FY26 enrollment data has been submitted to EMIS or uploaded and benefit data has been received and processed from either Medicaid Ohio or ODJFS. For all district types, this condition means CNDC for your selected school year is not open and you won't be able to view enrollments even if submitted or uploaded. If a district tries to access CNDC before both parts needed to complete matches are in place, an alert will be issued in a pop-up box indicating their CNDC school year is not yet open, with the option of returning to the home page. For non-public districts, the alert will include the option to return to the Home Page or to go to the Upload student option. These non-pubs should choose the option best suited for where the district is at in their school year preparation.

  • CCP - Added a new review flag for FY26 that will impact funding when used. This flag should be used when data errors are causing an incorrect payment deduction.

  • SOES - Added a new review flag for FY26. This new flag should be used when the resident district has documentation that a student's address is not within the territory of the district or that the parent is not residing in the district. When this review flag is placed on a record, the student will not be included in the community school's FLICS allocation until the flag is resolved.

  • ODDEX/CNDC school year - The default school year determination has changed slightly. The CNDC default school year will be changed on July 1 and will be set to the new school year, while the overall default school year in ODDEX will remain set to the prior school year. For example, on July 1, 2025, the CNDC school year will default to 2025-26, while the default school year in all other modules will be 2024-25 for a period of time.

  • CNDC - Changes were made to increase performance within queries.

Problems Corrected

  • Grad - The Fiscal Year (FY) column was not including the correct data in the Course Credits export.

  • CNDC - For DEW Reports only. There was an issue with the agency selection when a specific IRN was selected it was not getting reset for subsequent selections. The 1st selected IRN was being used repeatedly.

  • SOES/Tuition - Documents uploaded in Tuition and SOES were not getting expired correctly.

ODDEX Hotfix v4.30.1

Problems Corrected

  • SCR - Corrected an issue with the import of data that was introduced with release 4.30.0.
    SCR importing was turned off June 6th thru June 9th. Importing will resume this afternoon/evening and should be caught up by Wednesday morning, June 11th. Conflict processing was also paused during this time. Conflict processing will also resume late this evening (June 10th) for any updated student records from the imports that were delayed and will be taking place today.

  • Tuition - Corrected an issue with review tracking events going to DEW. Bug was introduced with the 4.30.0 release.

ODDEX Release v4.30.0

Enhancements

  • Grad/Progress Reports - Added additional export explanation documentation links to the UI and to the ODDEX wiki pages.

  • Grad/EWS/Students - Added additional export explanation documentation links to the ODDEX wiki pages.

  • ODDEX - The back-end utilities used in the application were updated to more current versions.

  • Tuition - Adjusted the query results to include the educating and paying districts data.

Problems Corrected

  • CNDC - Corrected an issue with the audit display for DEW staff. Data was not being redacted as it should have been.

  • CNDC - A DEW only report was not generating. Note: Corrected with hotfix v4.29.2.

ODDEX Release v4.29.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.29.0 on May 20, 2025

Enhancements

  • CNDC - Improved the processing to remove/disable/inactivate a student marked with a potential match. This will allow districts to eliminate the display of these records from the primary summary screens, unless specifically selected.

  • ODDEX - Updated the handling of numeric elements during exports when the element contained only zeroes

  • SCM - Added selection for claims that are not canceled

  • ODDEX - Modified the processes by which the application is deployed to the field. District users will not see any updates for this change.

  • Grad/EWS/Students - Removed code that was no longer relevant to the import processes.

Problems Corrected

  • CCP - The administrator tool to copy the review flags from one school year to the next was not including all school year tracking elements.

  • Grad/Progress Reports/Individual Students - Report naming convention was modified for DEW staff and if a student name was not populated.

  • Records/History - When a students attending building IRN was changed, the update was not reflected in the ODDEX data being displayed. Districts may not see past updates to this element reflected for several more weeks, while current submitted updates will be displayed.

  • Grad/EWS/Students - If using local configuration options (Local Attendance, Behavior and Course), it was displaying ‘on track’ when there was no actual risk data reported for the student. This has been corrected to display ‘Not applicable’ when there is no risk data for the student.

  • Grad/Progress Reports/Individual Students - If a school year was not defined or selected, district users would get a stack dump.

  • SCM - District claiming a student did not always get their IRN populated in the database records for the claim.

ODDEX Release v4.28.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.28.0 on February 28, 2025.

Enhancements 

  • ODDEX/Grad - Updates included to begin importing data for the Student Support and Intervention Inventory (SSII) Tool. No data will be visible until the UI updates are released as part of a future, unscheduled, release.

  • CNDC - Modified the prior district matching to exclude records for withdrawn students. Having these students included as a prior district match was causing confusion at districts.

  • Grad/EWS - Additional data exports added. These will include data from the various EWS tabs not already included in the full Student Export.

Problems Corrected

  • CNDC - Modified the prior district matching to mark students as reduced if at the prior district reduced was the applicable benefit level. These were always getting marked as a free benefit. The student benefit level for these records will now reflect the level as it applied at the prior district whether it be free or reduced.

ODDEX Release v4.27.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.27.0 on January 30, 2025.

Enhancements 

  • Grad/EWS - Modified the behavior of the configuration screen and how it returns to the other screens. The processing is now more user friendly.

  • Grad/Progress Reports - Added sorting capabilities on the Admission Date, Grade, Building IRN columns.

  • CNDC - Added a selection for a range on the match date. While this match date is not on the screens or in the export, it is provided as a selection in the event a user needs to select records that were matched based on a specific date range. This could be useful for CEP districts.

  • CNDC - Modified the export tracking to record when all exports are ran, not just the vendor export, as was the case in the past.

Problems Corrected

  • Grad/EWS - A change to the withdrawn reason reported to DEW was not reflected in the EWS data screens. All students with a change on this element will self-correct within ODDEX by February 3, 2025.

ODDEX Release v4.26.0

  • Tuition - Reviewing flagging for Tuition Window 2 was opened.  

ODDEX Release v4.26.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.26.0 on December 11, 2024. 

Enhancements

  • Grad/EWS - The description on the Basic Risk tab was changed from 'No data to display' to 'No courses to display' when a student did not have any at risk or failing courses.

  • CNDC - Improvements to matching process

Problems Corrected

  • SCR - Corrected a problem with the SSID changes that was introduced with the FX record implementations in release 4.25.0.  The 'change to SSID' data was not getting displayed for the student.   The display of the 'change to SSID' will correct itself when districts submit their SCR data again after this release is implemented.  

  • CNDC - Corrected a problem with the DEW reports where district names with a comma in them were not handled properly, causing the report result columns to be inaccurate.

  • CNDC - Corrected an issue where the list of matching fields was not always accurate.  Only the matching fields from the initial match run were getting stored, nothing from later match runs were included.   This was causing confusion as to why a record was or was not a full or potential match.

ODDEX Release v4.25.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.25.0 on November 8, 2024. 

Enhancements

  • Grad/Progress Reports/Individual Students - added grades 7 and 8 to the grade selection drop down options.

  • SCR - Added support for the submission of the FX records by districts.   These records are being converted to GI and FS data by the SCR collection request and will show in ODDEX as if the district submitted the actual GI and FS records with an '81' withdrawn record.  These will show as inactive.   Districts will not see any reference to an FX data record in ODDEX.

  • CNDC - Reports were added for use by only DEW staff.   District personnel will not see these report options.

Problems Corrected

  • Grad/Progress Reports/Individual Students - The value included in the GRAD_REQ_EXMPT_STATUS_CODE column of the Course Credits export was not accurate. 

ODDEX Release v4.24.3

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.24.3 on Sept. 26, 2024. 

Problems Corrected

  • ODDEX - Updates that had been made for the v4.24.0 release were lost when the v4.24.2 release went out on September 20, 2024.  This release reinstates the updates from the 4.24.0 release in addition to the 4.24.2 update.

Problems Corrected

  • Grad | EWS - Corrected an issue that affected several districts where the application would produce a stack dump when they attempted to access the Students option of the EWS submenu.

ODDEX Release v4.24.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.24.0 on August 6, 2024.

Enhancements

  • CNDC - Modified to allow a district to reactivate students they had uploaded and then removed by accident.   This would be only for students included as part of an upload and are non-EMIS reported.  To reactivate any student, the user must first utilize All (blank) in the Benefit Level filter criteria and then selecting the student.   The student will show with strike-through and a Reactivate link in blue.  The details pertaining to the re-activation can be included in the vendor export if needed by these entities.

  • Grad/PTG - The summary screen will now include all districts that have reported grad data for a student.  These will appear in the sub-agency select with the district name, IRN and school year in which it was reported.  At the beginning of each school year, there will be no grad data, grade level or building IRN available.   The district would want to select a student, and in the sub-agency select, choose the prior school year from the drop-down if there is a need to view the graduation data that is available.  The new school year grad data should start populating in ODDEX sometime in mid-late September.  

  • ODDEX - Changed default school year to 2025

Problems Corrected

  • Grad/PTG - A recent change introduced a problem where no students would display when selecting Progress > Individual Students from the Navigation bar.  Any student the age of 14 and older is now included in the summary listing. 

ODDEX Release v4.23.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.23.0 on July 25, 2024.

Enhancements

  • CCP - Added the ability to select records by a building IRN.   This option applies only to the LEAs and not the higher education entities.

  • CCP - Closed school year 2022-23 reporting.

  • Grad - Added the ability to select data by a particular school year as is found in other modules of ODDEX.

  • SCM - Improved the user interface on the cancel claim screen.   Previously, if a student was claimed while multiple enrollments were in effect and then a cancel was started for the same student, the data about the claims displayed in such a manner that it was difficult to decipher the claimed from entities.   The screen was modified to provide 1 display row for each student involved in the claim one is trying to cancel.  If there is more than 1 for a single student, these will display in a list.

  • Grad/EWS - Modified the upload process for the local defined indicators so if a district provides the 'N/A' value in the 2nd element of the CSV file, they are not required to provide a 3rd element in the CSV file.   The 'N/A' means 'does not apply' so no 3rd element is needed. 

  • SCR - Modified the data import to include the new EMIS ID and Local use ID elements.   These will be stored in the ODDEX database starting with this release, but will not yet display anywhere in the ODDEX application modules.

  • Grad/EWS - Placeholder records are being created for student enrollment submitted to SCR.   This is being done so districts can see all students in the EWS from the start of the school year.  The actual EWS data will populate for these students when we receive it from DEW.

Problems Corrected

  • SCM - Corrected a case where under rare circumstances, a district was able to claim the same student more than once, within the same school year.

ODDEX Release v4.22.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.22.0 on July 2, 2024.

Problems Corrected

  • SCM - Corrected an issue that created a stack dump when claiming a student.  This happened only when a district was claiming a student for a new school year and that same student was enrolled and withdrawn at the district in the prior school year.

  • Grad/EWS - Corrected an issue with the export that prevented a value of '0' from being included as '0'.   Instead the value in the export file would be empty or blank.  

  • Grad/EWS - Adjusted the roles to eliminate issues which caused DEW users with the Data View-PTG role to not have access to the EWS data.

  • Grad/EWS - Corrected a problem that prevented a user with the Data View-PTG role from having access to the User or Agency data. 

  • Grad/PTG - The student grade level included on the summary listing was not always accurate.

  • Grad/PTG - The student Building IRN included on the summary listing was not always accurate.

Enhancements

  • CNDC - Removed the Qualified Date from all screens to prevent confusion.  This date did represent the date the student was first matched, but does not represent when the student is eligible for meal benefits.   The users will still be able to select records by this date even though it is not on the screen view.

  • Records/Single Student/Grad Cohort - The Data View-PTG and Data Manager-PTG roles now have access to the Grad Cohort tab under Records/Single student.

ODDEX Release v4.21.1

  • Grad - Resolved issue that prevented certain ODE users with the Dataview-PTG OEDS Role from accessing the Early Warning System

ODDEX Release v4.20.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.20.0 on June 6, 2024.

Enhancements

  • ODDEX - Updates to begin importing of data needed for the Early Warning System options of Grad.   No data will be viewable until the application UI is released in the near future.

  • CNDC - Updates needed for the School Year end Roll-over.   Districts will have a new export option to assist with those students they included in CNDC for school year 2023-24 using a manual upload.   The export will provide a file the district can use for the upload in the 2024-25 school year.   All other students will get included in CNDC when SCR data is submitted for 2024-25.

  • CNDC - Added a school year selection on the navigation bar.

  • SCR - Updates to the rules processing as related to the new 'TC' sent to reason.

ODDEX Release v4.19.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.19.0 on April 18th, 2024.

Enhancements

  • Grad - Modified the Progress Reports screens and exports to exclude any records marked as inactive.

  • Grad - Modified the Progress Reports screens to use a different source file for displaying the cohort year.  This change was made for consistency.

  • Grad/Program Codes - Modified the user interface of this option to provide a new summary screen for all students enrolled at the district that have a program enrollment record for the selected school year.   The summary will be 1 row per SSID.   When a particular student is selected from the summary, a detail screen for only that student is available.   This detail screen will include all program codes associated with that enrolled student regardless of what IRN reported them from the selected school year and prior school years.   The program codes can be exported as needed for a student from this detail screen as well as the summary screen.

  • CNDC - Added processing within the Export option to record each time the Vendor Export is run.   This change is in preparation for data DEW will need beginning in school year 2024-25.

  • ODDEX - All references to ODE where change to DEW.

  • SOES/CNDC - Modified import of contact data to improve performance.

Problems Corrected

  • CNDC - Corrected a problem with the manner CNDC was deciding if the match needed to be ran for a district.   The check on this was causing the match to run a day after the data was uploaded as opposed to on the day the data was uploaded.

ODDEX Release v4.18.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.18.0 on March 15th, 2024.

Enhancements

  • GRAD - A new module is added to the ODDEX application.   The Progress Towards Graduation (PTG) option is under the GRAD module found on the navigation bar.   The roles needed to access this module may be found here.  The documentation for this module may be found here.

ODDEX Release v4.17.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.17.0 on March 13th, 2024.

Enhancements

  • PTG - Updates needed to begin import of data for this new module.   The UI for this module is expected to be released within a few days.

  • SCR - Updated rules for school year 2023-24 to exclude records with the updated exit status reason from the checks.

  • Records/Single Student - Modified the displayed data to include a new date field.   This date will represent the last date the district reporting a student had their SCR submissions processed into ODDEX.   This date may be helpful during resolution of conflicts. 

  • CNDC - Modified the vendor export configuration so a district can no longer disable the 'Run Date' from the export data.   The 'Run Date' is imperative in proper reporting of Child Nurtition data, thus this change.

  • ODDEX - Modified the manner the filters are cleared.

  • SOES/CNDC - Data imports were modified to exclude cases where a mismatch of contact data is submitted.  Contact data without a pair of FF and FG records for a single student will be excluded and not imported.

  • CCP - Modified the display screens for the Higher Ed Agencies so they no longer see references to 'Districts'.   They will instead see those labeled as 'HEI'.

ODDEX Release v4.16.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.16.0 on February 8th, 2024.

Enhancements

  • SCR - Modified the FY24 SCR rules to exclude any records with the "EX" sent to reason from the conflict processing checks.

  • ODDEX - Modified the data imports to improve the processing time of teacher data used in the claiming module.

  • ODDEX - Removed obsolete processing code.

Problems Corrected

  • CCP - There were unique situations where a funding override entered by an DEW staff member was deactivated causing the CCP entry to be re-opened for flagging.  The processing was changed so the funding overrides entered by DEW staff take priority and are not inactivated or removed by automated processing.

ODDEX Release v4.15.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.15.0 on January 12, 2024.

Enhancements

  • WBL - Made modifications to the import process for courses.   This change will improve a districts ability to find students and courses that qualify for the employer WBL tax credit.  It will take until next week for this to be fully implemented so all courses are visible in ODDEX.

ODDEX Release v4.14.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.14.0 on December 19, 2023.

Enhancements

  • CNDC - Modified the manner the application is marking students who are eligible for meal benefits based on a prior district enrollment.   Students with this eligibility will be marked with a 2 character code to indicate how they qualified for the meal benefit at the prior district.  These 2 character codes will appear in conjunction with the PriorDist indicator.

    • MD = Medicaid

    • SN = SNAP

    • TN = TANF

    • FS = Foster

    • HM = Homeless

    • MG = Migrant

    • HE = Household

Problems Corrected

  • CNDC - The filtering and selection results were not always accurate.

  • CNDC - There was an issue in the event a zip code of greater than zero but less than 5 characters was provided for importing.

ODDEX Release v4.13.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.13.0 on December 7, 2023.

Enhancements

  • CNDC - Modified the match processing to run nightly.

Problems Corrected

  • CNDC - The Upload would not complete for the special case students ESCs needed to manage meals for.

ODDEX Release v4.12.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.12.0 on November 8, 2023.

Enhancements

  • SCR - Added the new updated exit status field, FS380, to the data accepted and stored for ODDEX.   This element will not be displayed within the application at this time.

  • CCP - Adjusted the approval of split courses to assist in making it more clear to the districts which entity is responsible for payment of these courses.   The end user will see a new pop-up warning box if marking an 'Approve' for a split course as this is a rare case.  

  • CCP - If a course is not showing as split, the 2 review flags specific to split courses will no longer be available options.

Problems Corrected

  • CNDC - Correct a problem with the data import introduced in release 4.11.0.

ODDEX Release v4.11.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.11.0 on November 3, 2023.

Enhancements

  • SCR - Added an icon to show a generated conflict involves a claimed student.

  • ODDEX - Updated logo to reflect change from Ohio Department of Education to Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.    Users will also noticed some references to ODE are changed to DEW.  Additional updates will be made over upcoming weeks in both the application and the wiki page documentation.

  • CNDC - Update to algorithm to further improve performance of the student-data matching.

  • CNDC/Upload - Modified to use a 7/1 enrollment start date in the current school year if the upload file does not include a specific enrollment start date,

  • SCR - Updated to include the option of excluding records claimed by my IRN in the conflict listings.

  • ODDEX - The wiki page documentation for all of ODDEX has been moved to a new URL.   Ohio District Data Exchange (ODDEX)

Problems Corrected

  • CNDC - SSID changes were not properly identified and processed.

  • CNDC/Upload - Corrected an issue that prevented a district from using a value of "U" in the gender element as documented.

  • SCR/Not Reported, Mismatched - The conflict IRN drop down was not including the proper IRNs involved in the not reported/mismatched conflicts.  

  • CNDC/Upload - Corrected issues with the enrollment start/stop date checking.   Records with an end date before a start date will no longer be allowed.  Enrollment start/stop dates will be validated to ensure they are within the selected school year.  

ODDEX Release v4.10.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.10.0 on October 6, 2023.

  • ODDEX - Internal updates to improve data imports.

ODDEX Release v4.9.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.9.0 on September 29, 2023.

Enhancements

  • CNDC - Improvements were made within the matching routines to reduce the time to complete.

  • CNDC - Removed the Qualified Date from the export data.

  • Users - Modified the display of roles shown under View Access to only include those that apply to the district selected in the navigation bar.  Previously, if an individual had access to more than one district, all roles, for all assigned districts displayed, which slowed the display process down.

Problems Corrected

  • CNDC - The Run Date included in the export did not always have the correct date.

ODDEX Release v4.8.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.8.0 on September 14, 2023.

Problems Corrected

  • Login - Some users were experiencing a problem attempting to access ODDEX.  This was due to a trailing space in the email address from the user's OHID account.  An update has been made to strip off the trailing space allowing the user to authenticate and access the ODDEX application.  

Enhancements

  • CNDC - Updates were made to the exports and the summary listing to clearly show how a child is eligible for free or reduced meal benefit.  Qualified By will now show SNAP, TANF or Medicaid.   For the summary listing, a Free/Reduced column has been added where the individual matches are displayed.  The new Free/Reduced column follows the Qualified By column. 

ODDEX Release v4.7.1

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.7.1 on September 8, 2023.

Problems Corrected

  • CNDC - Resolved an issue that prevented certain student enrollment situations from being included as a match against ODJFS provided data.   Following the match run that starts tomorrow 9/9, these student will have a match indicator on them.

ODDEX Release v4.7.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.7.0 on September 1, 2023.

Enhancements

  • CNDC - Updates have been made to the matching process to reduce the number of potential matches on students with a matching last name plus minimal additional data elements.  Districts will see previoulsy identified potential matches become a non match with this update, if the student was not manually matched by district staff.

  • ODDEX - Updates were made to return users to the current OH|ID web site URL.

ODDEX Release v4.6.1

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.6.1 on August 23, 2023.

Enhancements

  • CNDC - Updates have been made to the matching process to alleviate issues with the process taking too long to process through all of the CNDC participating agencies during the scheduled runs.

ODDEX Release v4.6.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.6.0 on August 18, 2023.

Problems Corrected

  • CNDC - Issues with the Upload option have been addressed and corrected.  The Upload option is once again available from the CNDC menu drop down. 

  • SOES - There was an issue with the import of contact data.  This problem has been resolved.  Districts that have submitted SOES contact data should see this data reflected in the SOES module after this weekends processing.

 

ODDEX Release v4.5.5

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v4.5.5 on August 11, 2023.

Problems Corrected

  • CNDC - There were several districts that had used the upload option earlier in the week resulting in some data issues.  Due to the data issues, the matching routine could not be ran against any of the CNDC data.  The matching that was to have run overnight Wednesday (Thursday morning) did not run.  This update corrects the issues with the data so that the matching may be reinstated for it's regular runs.  For EMIS reporting entities, if you have submitted SCR data since 8/8/2023, those submissions will be processed into CNDC over the weekend.  The matching routine will also be executed over the weekend.    

    The upload option remains disabled until all of the issues that were discovered earlier this week are corrected.   

    Currently the matching is running overnight Monday and Wednesday.  It runs Saturday throughout the day.

  • Setup/User - The data entry of the email address was allowing the user to include spaces within the email address or trailing it.   These spaces could prevent future logins to the entire ODDEX application for this individual.

  • SCR - Corrected an issue that caused the Conlficts option to generate a stack dump under certain circumstances.

  • CCP - The Higher Eds were unable to utilize the 'export' options.  This issue has been resolved and the export should generate an output file in the chosen format that includes the selected students.  This problem did not impact LEAs and their ability to export.

  • ODDEX - All of the ODDEX user interface has been modified to be a more friendly format.   Users will experience changes in the look and feel of the screens and selection options, but there are no true functionality changes.   There are some screens, such as the ones where the expand and collapse exist, these have a different method of expanding/collapsing with the end result being the same.   Users may also notice slight differences in the appearance of the navigation bar, global SSID search, along with the screen changes themselves.    Note: The wiki documentation pages have not been updated to reflect all the screen changes as of the date mentioned for this release.

  • SCR - Update to the module to improve performance.  The user will see changes to the navigation bar requiring a primary selection of Students, Conflicts or Not Reported/Mismatched.  After the initial selection, districts will see the various options to find records.  Users are required to enter their choices and click on 'find'.   By default for the conflicts, inactive records are excluded.    When records are displayed, the user will see those listed by SSID as opposed to by conflict, as was the case prior.    If one student has 2 conflicts, those will be listed together.  To view the conflict detail, one should click on the conflict code.   To view the data as reported by your IRN, click on the student. 

  • SOES, Tuition - Performance improvement related to uploaded documents.

  • Records - Special Ed Tab - Added a new link on the display of Special Education records that allows a district to view the Special Ed Graduation Required data as reporting on the EMIS FE records.   For any student with this data reported, a link will show to the far right, Grad Exempt.   After clicking on this link, all Special Ed Graduation Required data for the student associated with the Special Education record found on that row, will display. 

  • Records - Bulk Export - Added the ability to bulk export the Special Education Graduation Required data.   The users will be required to create a CSV containing the SSIDs they wish to export data for.   This CSV file creation is similar to how the other bulk export options work. 

  • Records - Assessment Tab - Added a displayed note at the bottom to remind users that Beginning with the 2021-22 school year, Accomplished replaces Accelerated in the Score Level Label.  Prior year test scores will continue to display as Accelerated unless re-reported in 2021-22.

Special Education Graduation Required Data

The special education graduation required data will begin importing the evening of March 24th.  Beginning March 25th some of this data will be available.  It may take more than one evening to import all of this data.

  • SCM - Modified the school year display to be 20xx - 20xx consistently through the entire module.

Enhancements

  • ODDEX - Updates included to synchronize the users and roles in ODDEX with the users and roles assigned in OEDS at each IRN.   Nightly, the processing will ensure the users and roles set up in OEDS matches the users and roles in ODDEX.    This will eliminate cases where an employee leaves or retires and still shows in the User list found within ODDEX.   Upon the initial login after this update is in place, users will be required to examine their User setup and update or accept.   Users are asked especially to review email addresses and contact data included here.   The login process will not change.   When a user logs in, their access and roles are defined real time with the OEDS values.

  • SCR - The import process has been changed to eliminate the special characters such as "/" from a student's middle name.   These special characters are included by some Student Software vendors.  

  • CCP - Change the icon for the enrl_split_but_my_lea_to_pay_all review flag to be a green check mark as opposed to a yellow exclamation point.   This review flag represents payment is approved, thus the green check applies.

  • SCR - Modified the SCR conflict rules to include the How Received = G in the EPCT, AFIC and AFPY checks.   This change may cause more conflicts to generate.

  • SCR - Modified the SCR conflict rules to no longer exclude the 35 withdrawal code in the RFIC and STIC checks.   This change may close some conflicts and may cause others to open.

  • SCR - Changed the process to make 'Exclude Hidden' and 'Exclude Inactive' the defaults when entering into SCR.   This will eliminate records with strike thru from displaying as well was as those conflicts the district has temporarily chosen to not see.   The user can override the defaults by unchecking those boxes and clicking the 'Find'.  This change was implemented to improve performance.

ODDEX Release v3.45.0

This outlines updates to the ODDEX application included with release v3.45.0 on 11-Mar-2021.

Enhancements

  • CCP - Higher Education Entities (HEIs) will be provided a link to the ODE Report explanation pages directly from the page that displays the available reports.   When clicked on, the link will open in a new browser window.  More information on this can be found on the new HEI Reports wiki page.

  • CCP - When a course involves a split payment between 2 LEAs the 'Approval' button is no longer available from the detail screen.   With these types of courses, the user will be required to go into the Review screen and make a decision on how this course is to be approved or a review flag set.

  • CCP - Changes were made to prevent the "ENRL SPLIT BUT MY LEA TO PAY ALL" review flag from getting set to an 'aged out' status.   This change will cause the Red-X that shows on these course to change to a yellow exclamation point.

  • ODDEX - Adjusted role mappings for ODE personnel.

  • ODDEX - A user with only an SDC access role in OEDS did have the ability to log into ODDEX.   This is no longer the case.   Only roles specifically outlined in the wiki documentation page will have access to ODDEX.  An ITC staff member with the SDC OEDS role only will continue to have access to ODDEX as before.

  • Records - Bulk Export was modified to include a tab delimited export of the Special Education data.   For a district to utilize this option, they must create a CSV file of the SSIDs they wish to export the data for.   The Bulk Export will then find the special educaiton records matching the SSID and export.   The functionality is similar to the export used for the Assessment data.   Districts can also use specific selection options during this export processing.

  • SCR - Modifications were made to the import of the SCR data as an initial step to complete SSID changes within the applications.   With this update, users will see stop dates being applied to the prior (incorrect) SSID enrollment records in SCR and will see new enrollments added under the current (correct) SSID.   The new enrollments will now reflect all dates the student has attended at this district.  Districts will see both SSIDs within ODDEX as active.    Districts will want to take note - this described change may create some additional conflicts that will need to be addressed.  It may also create some additional conflicts that can be ignored and hidden, but it also may close some when the stop date is placed on the prior (incorrect) SSID record. The end result with the conflicts will depend on the situation and the data involved.   The remaining update to fully implement SSID changes into ODDEX will be completed at a future, unscheduled, date. 

Problems Corrected

  • SOES - Corrected an issue that would generate a error and a stack dump in rare cases.  In very rare cases, a user may have been incorrectly granted access to Community School/STEM SOES. When the user would attempt to access the SOES module, it would result in a stack dump since the user's agency was not that of a Community School or STEM type.

ODDEX Release v3.39.0

Enhancements

  • CCP - Modified the display of data provided during the Review process to include all prior comments.  This is being provided as reference only.   These can not be changed, only new comments can be added.

  • CCP - Modified the age out process for courses, so it will now mimic the age out used for agreements.  Instead of always using the last update date as a basis for calculating the 45 days, the application will now use the later of 2 dates; the last update date or a specific date.   Those specific dates will be different for each term and are as follows:

    • Fall term - Sept. 1

    • Winter term - Dec. 1

    • Spring term - Feb. 1

    • Summer term -Sept. 1
