USAS-R v7.30.1-3 Release Notes

Summary

This is the first hotfix release for version 7.30.  This hotfix corrects a caching problem that was introduced with the 7.30.0 release.  In an effort to improve the performance of posting payables to disbursements we implemented some additional caching with the latest release.  These changes saw a performance improvement of 40%, however it caused a problem with the creation of encumbrance impacts due to the caching of the method that finds invoice items for a PO.  To correct the problem we updated the method that retrieves the invoice items to no longer be cached.  

Note:  Only those POs that have were invoiced to cancel an item were impacted by the 7.30.0 release.  We have included a patch that will run to update any purchase orders with incorrect amounts.  This patch will also re-post the encumbrance ledgers, so no further intervention on the part of the ITC or district is necessary.

A hotfix or quick-fix is typically a single change that addresses a problem in the software.  Hotfixes are made to address a specific concern and provide a quick solution.
