Important highlights from this release

  1. Payroll items will now display calculated to date accumulators based on the current posting period. 

    1. Please note due to the way classic tracked accumulators for some, but not all to date amounts (depending on payroll item type) we cannot guarantee that the to date amounts, which still include imported data are 100% accurate. 

    2. A disclaimer was added to the payroll item detail screen highlighting this. 

    3. This restriction does not hold true when the to date calculated values contain only amounts processed inside USPS-R. At that point the calculated amounts will match the exact amounts applicable and processed in USPS-R. 

  2. The payroll unpost process will now run in batch, which means the user does not necessarily have to stay on the screen and wait for the process to complete. 

    1. This is consistent with how the payroll post works for instance.

  3. On payroll post the system will now validate that direct deposit employees have a pay distribution record that at least appears valid. We cannot know if the routing and account number are correct for instance, but we can ensure numeric values have at least been entered in these fields.

    1. Please note if an incorrect employee routing or account number is in place when the payroll is posted these can be corrected using the payments→payroll→direct deposit screen. A payroll unpost is not required in this scenario.
