USPS-R 5.24.0 Release Notes

Summary

This release contains several improvements and patches as detailed below. 

Important highlights from this release

1. This release contains several performance related changes that substantially improve report run times. 
   
   

   1. On average this release should increase report run performance by roughly 3x.

   2. We are optimistic that these performance updates will also reduce pressure on the database by limiting I/O. This may have much farther reaching performance benefit outside of simply report run times. 

   3. We cannot be 100% certain that these changes will eliminate all reported performance issues, so if performance issues persist after this release is applied please report these to us via the SSDT service desk.  

2. A pickup flag has been added to employer error adjustments for medicare and social security payroll items. If an employer error adjustment is required for the employer pickup amount this flag must be checked for the system to associate this amount correctly on reports etc.
   
   

   1. Please note if you must adjust both the employer pickup amount and the actual employer share this will need to be done using two error adjustments. 

      1. One for the pickup amount with the flag checked and another for the actual employer share without the pickup flag checked.
