Important highlights from this release

  • Bug Fixes

    • Patch Corrections

      • USPS Patch 6.90.0 A can fail if duplicate codes are discovered

        • The patch has been updated to handle duplicate building / department codes and report and error in the logs

      • USPS Patch 6.90.0 B can fail for invalid position custom field values

        • The patch has been updated to handle potential position update errors. Those errors are now caught and reporting in the application logs.

    • Code Entity

      • Increase the length of the code property to 255 characters.



Important Information about 6.90.0

For any district that hasn't upgraded to USPS 6.90.0, this release will perform all of the information found below for Building and Department codes. If the district has already been migrated, all that will happen when upgrading is changing the length of the code property on the new codes table. 



You can view the results of the patch by navigating to System / Monitor / App Log Tab and filtering the Logger Name column with org.ssdt_ohio.usps.module.patches.AbstractUspsPatch.



The release of USPS 6.90.1 will migrate the Custom Field Definitions, Building Code and Department Code to new database tables. 

At startup three processes are going to run to migrate the data.

  1. A sql script to add the new tables and properties

  2. A patch to migrate the Building and Department Codes to the new structure

  3. A patch with two steps

  4.  

    1. Update all Positions to reference the new Building and Department Code tables

    2. Update all template reports for the property path changes


Start up could be delayed by up to 10 mins to run all of the patches and migration scripts.

This will also change the property paths for Building and Department codes used in Mass Loads and Custom Reports.



When scheduling the installation USPS 6.90.1, it is recommended that you create a backup of the database prior to installation. If you run into any problems installing 6.90.1 please contact SSDT through the service desk.
