USAS-R v7.44.1-1 Release Notes

Summary

This is the first hotfix release for version 7.44.  This hotfix includes the following:

• A patch to delete and re-post account summaries for any closed posting period in fiscal year 2020.   SSDT determined that the account summaries could be incorrect due to previously corrected advance repay ledger entries.  The edge case for this patch could include any district that experienced problems with the ledgers associated with repay advances this fiscal year. 

  • Account summaries are posted when the posting period is closed.  If a district had advance repays with incorrect ledgers, the account summaries for that posting period could be inaccurate if the posting period was closed before the ledgers were corrected.  This patch will re-post account summaries, without reopening posting periods, for any closed posting period in fiscal year 2020.  The patch will collect information about the amounts before and after re-posting the summaries.  The patch will compare the amounts and if they are different it will send a results file to the SSDT specifying the district, posting period and amounts both before and after re-posting summaries.  SSDT will then reach out to ITCs of any impacted districts so that steps can be taken to update reports in the file archive that may not be correct if they pulled from incorrect account summaries.

A hotfix or quick-fix is typically a single change that addresses a problem in the software.  Hotfixes are made to address a specific concern and provide a quick solution.
