Summary
This release introduces a new feature into the Redesign for the purpose of assisting districts in prorating amounts to accounts. It's the intended replacement for Classic's WORKCOMP, but is not limited to payments to the BWC.
The Proration Utility will create a spreadsheet containing the accounts you want to prorate. It will allow you to enter the amount you want to prorate (less any applicable discounts) and will calculate the amount to charge each account based on the amounts selected (time period). This new feature is available via the Utilities menu. Start by selecting the time period you are prorating for: month, calendar or fiscal year expended. You can predefine an account fitler for those accounts you will be prorating amounts for. Select this filter from the Account Filter drop down. Finally you can provide a file name for this spreadsheet. Â
Once the spreadsheet is created you will enter the Prorate Amount into cell B1. You will need to determine the amount you want to prorate, taking into consideration any discounts you receive. The spreadsheet will calculate the Proprate Percent and the Prorated Amount for each account based on the Prorate Amount you enter in cell B1. With this initial release you will need to manually enter your transaction using the amounts calculated for you. In a future release you will have the option to automatically create a transaction using the accounts and amounts from the spreadsheet.
Please keep in mind these release notes only reflect the changes included in this release. There are many other features of the software that were previously released that will not be reflected in these release notes. General information about all of the features available in USAS-R can be found in our USAS Documentation. There is a section in the documentation that also details the significant changes between USAS-R and classic USAS.Â
