Summary
This is a hotfix release of USPS-R that includes patches for three issues that were discovered and one improvement.Â
Please Note: The issue corrected with USPSR-3430Â could require adjustment journal entries if you meet the following criteria.
You are currently processing live under USPS-R and do not plan to re-import from classic.
You have processed a payroll in USPS-R that included an employee who had zero applicable (taxable) gross for Ohio, city or other state and therefor had no tax withheld.Â
We believe this is an extremely rare scenario, but not impossible if annuities and exemptions caused the applicable gross for Ohio, other state or city to reach zero.
If you meet the above criteria a total gross adjustment journal for the affected payroll items will be required as prior to this fix a corresponding history record would not have been created. If you have questions about this or need help creating the appropriate adjustment journals, please contact us by sending e-mail to ssdt-feedback@nwoca.org.
Important highlights from this release
USPSR-3439 and USPSR-3425 correct two separate issues that manifested when trying to post employer distributions to USAS-R.
The former corrects an issue where USPS-R was sometimes sending the postal code to USAS-R in a format they considered invalid.
The latter now causes the second name from Payee to be sent to USAS-R as part of the integration message.Â
This is apparently critical for some customers when printing the resulting check from the USAS-R disbursement.
